I love showing cattle! All of my friends at school think I'm crazy because no one else there shows cattle. I live on te family farm with about 20 head of angus/maine cattle, and I have 4 cows of my own, Along with my show steer Bo who is registered maine.

Finally got the registration papers for my twins!!! I'm going to have to upload some pics of them soon they look nice they already have muscle and not much fat from not having hardly any grass in the pastures!!! We need alot more rain!!
no i didnt. since it was just an option i didnt do it. it sounded alot harder then co fair skill-a-thon. at my fair they did feed identification, correction on cattle feet ( the proper standing of the feet ) , how to put a rope halter on, and properly tieing the lead. its all stuff we had to do in the skill-a-thon. we circled the feet correction and paper, marked down the feeds on the paper and we had to put rope halters on a calf correctly and then do a correct quick release not. or inleast tie so the calf couldnt get away.
but for feed identification on paper we had numbers alined like ou would have 1 through i think 10 11 or 12 and the feed had those number so we had to match the feed with the correct number on our paper. like say number 1 was corn well we looked at our paper and it would have 1. _____________ and we would have to write the correct feed for number one on the line next to the number. they had the feed in little plastic bags and then the numbers of them on a peice of paper below the grain type.
